BMC Voices: Selina
Selina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2019 after she began to lose the use of her legs and sight in one eye. She wasn't sure she would ever walk again. After a lot of hard work with her care team, Selina regained her ability to walk and see. Today, she is in control of her life: working two jobs, raising a son, and looking forward to a bright future.

BMC Nurses Recognized
Boston Medical Center has been awarded Magnet® Recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the highest national credential for nursing excellence, quality patient care, and innovation in professional nursing practice. BMC proudly joins this select community, with fewer than 10% of hospitals in the U.S. achieving this prestigious status.

Health Equity Starts Here
Health and medicine aren't just what happen in an exam room. Things like housing instability, food insecurity, and systemic racism can all be barriers to optimal health. Our Health Equity Accelerator brings together BMC's deep experience in health equity with data-driven research to pinpoint inequities and take the steps necessary to fix them.

Information about COVID-19
Being vaccinated is still the best protection against getting COVID-19 and experiencing severe symptoms. BMC has several treatments available for mild to moderate COVID-19 that can keep you from getting very sick, but it is important that you start them within a few days after your symptoms start. If you think you have COVID-19 or are unvaccinated, please talk to your doctor.
